So glad that the publishing world has changed drastically enough to make it possible.Tammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14654046667201503991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4502645867665779577.post-7064011883809330642012-03-14T13:33:49.803-05:002012-03-14T13:33:49.803-05:00Thanks for stopping by, Danielle! The best advice ...Thanks for stopping by, Danielle! The best advice I can give is to never give up. Even if you have to write and edit in the middle of the night, just do it. Set a goal for yourself. I had to write that first book in the middle of the night. From about midnight to 5 am, I was typing away. I took naps with the baby during the day and just enjoyed those special early days with my little ones. I now have 3 kids...ages 15, 7 and 4 and decided I didn't ever want to go back to work. Luckily my husband was super supportive and encouraged me to write. I've been published for five years now and now I'm acquiring the rights back to all my traditionally published books and indie pubbing them on my own because I make much higher royalties and I'm in total control of creativity, marketing, cover art, etc. The publishing industry has changed light years since my first novel. I never saw the ebook exploding like it has with the Kindle and Nook. I'd love to help you in any way if you have more questions. I'd be happy to feature your crime fiction blog on my own blog and your first book when it releases because it WILL release! Feel free to email me at alishapaigewilson@yahoo.com. And congrats on your baby! Have a spectacular day!Alishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03344425510934073606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4502645867665779577.post-70372295586213565842012-03-14T06:16:09.831-05:002012-03-14T06:16:09.831-05:00Well done Alisha for getting your manuscript out t...Well done Alisha for getting your manuscript out there and persevering! <br />I too have the post baby voice in my ear 'psst mommy, you over there pureeing baby food and changing nappies' so, I am now on my second edit of my first novel and am also writing a crime fiction blog.
