An Interview with Penny Ash

Please welcome Penny Ash to my blog today!

Alisha: Can you tell us a little bit about your childhood?

Penny: I grew up mostly in the Southwest and the Mediterannean. Other than moving every two or three years I had a pretty normal childhood.

Alisha: Favorite memories?

Penny: Playing in the woods in Colorado and visiting the ruins in Greece.

Alisha: Tell us about the hero and heroine in your latest release.

Penny: When Glenn Masterson is blinded in the line of duty he experiences a brief moment of self pity and wishes for a Fairy to come and fix things. Twinklebell has been having a bad century. She’s lost her wings and she’s lost a dragon. Dispatch is not pleased with her and she’s assigned to Glenn. From their first meeting sparks of attraction fly and tempers flare as the DEA agent and the Fairy resign themselves to working together to find the errant dragon and get Twinklebell’s wings back.

Alisha: If you were granted three wishes by a genie, what would they be?

Penny: Wishes are tricky things, I might be inclined to pass on the whole wish thing.

Alisha: If you could go anywhere to tomorrow, where would you go?

Penny: If I could go anywhere at all it would be out into space to explore the galaxy. If I had to pick a place on Earth I'd have to say Ireland to visit the land of my ancestors.

Alisha: If you could see anyone tomorrow (dead or alive), who would it be?

Penny: That's a tough one. Probably Mothman or Bigfoot.

Alisha: I'd like to see both of them myself! If you could choose six people to spend one week on a desert island, who would it be and why?

Penny: My best friend and four cabin boys...

Alisha: I bet that would be a wild and crazy island! What word or phrase tingles in all the right places for you?

Penny: "Honey, I'm home." Right up there with "I'm baaack." Oh, wait, you mean good tingles...

Alisha: *Snicker* If you had one day to spoil yourself, what would you do?

Penny: I'd take a ride in a hot air balloon.

Alisha: Eeek, you're braver than I am! If you could change one incident in your life, what would it be and how would you change it?

Penny: I'd go back and buy that little ranch in Australia I let everyone talk me out of buying.

Alisha: Wow! Stop listening to others, Penny! What’s the sexiest thing a man has ever done for you or said to you or both?

Penny: "Does this taste funny to you?"

Alisha: Okay, I'm scratching my head on this one...lol!

Excerpt:

Wish Fulfillment Inc. No wish too big, no desire too small. Be carefull what you wish for, if Customer Service hears you, you just may get it.

It was late, activity in the hospital had slowed and quieted at last, but he still couldn’t sleep. The air felt prickly, supercharged with electricity, like the air before a big thunderstorm. He rather thought he could smell ozone and heard a faint tinkling like the sound of glass wind chimes. Glass wind chimes? What the hell? he thought, the sound getting louder.

Suddenly there was a phoompf! And a gust of lime and tequila scented air followed by a feminine sounding giggle. “Whoa kids, flying and 3-D just don’t mix after twelve tequilas and sixteen limes... or was it sixteen tewuil-tequal-tklee... oh, whatever. Glu-Ghlel Mnas-snater-mnso?” Asked a very drunk female voice.

“Who the hell wants to know?” Glenn was so not in the mood for stupid pranks by his fellow agents just then.

“Dispatch?” The woman shouted, her voice sounding peeved.

“Yes?” Said a disembodied male voice from somewhere over Glenn’s feet.

“Who am I again?” Glenn heard the slurred female voice say.

Thanks for being my guest of honor today, Penny!
