Regina Carlysle's Paranormal Menage, Spanish Topaz Releases Today!

I'm thrilled to welcome my best friend and very talented author, Regina Carlysle to my blog today! Spanish Topaz, an ultra hot read about very sexy rancher, Cash Carter and sultry Latina, Graciela Fuentes released TODAY! This lady's writing is SCORCHING HOT and so dang descriptive AND romantic...something I truly admire. Her special blend of very sexy erotica mingled with true love is a rare treat. Do yourself a favor and find out for yourself...I promise...you'll be thanking me later...after you finish fanning yourself!

I was lucky enough to pull her away from her smoking keyboard to ask her some questions!

Alisha: Can you tell us a little bit about your childhood? Favorite memories?

Regina: Ahhhh childhood! So far, far back in time…lol. I grew up in a tiny town in Oklahoma. Farms were all around, people didn’t lock their doors and the kids went everywhere fearlessly. My favorite memories are of running down to block and being able to visit my grandparents. Talk about close! Grandma baked fresh bread every single day and we could SMELL it in the air and would come running. It was also really, really handy when I was in BIG TROUBLE. I’d take off for Grandma’s house, tell her I was bad and she’d feed me. HA.

Alisha: Sigh...Grandma's! Tell us about the hero and heroine in your latest release.

Regina: I’m so excited about the release of Spanish Topaz, one of my first attempts at paranormal ménage. Cash Carter is a big tough Texas rancher who wants nothing more than to have the love of his life return to him. Graciela Fuentes is a sassy Latina who has always loved Cash but went off to live a dream that wasn’t her own. When Cash finds an ancient dagger on his property, Graciela (a museum curator) returns to the ranch to solve the mystery of the dagger’s origins. I actually have another hero in this book. Miguel de Castillo was a Spanish Conquistador who was cursed into the Topaz studded handle of the dagger but materializes. He is on a quest of his own.

Alisha: I love your premise! This sounds scrumptious! If you were granted three wishes by a genie, what would they be?

Regina: Ummm. What’s up with all the hard questions??? Snicker. The first would be to see my kids settled, happy and successful with their lives and the second would be to one day hold grandchildren in my arms. The third would be for a continuance of my writing career.

Alisha: Those are all WONDERFUL wishes! Hard questions? Snicker...well, here's another. If you could go anywhere to tomorrow, where would you go?

Regina: Anywhere? Hm. Nothing grand or glorious but I’d go to a cabin in the mountains and just BREATHE. I’d stock the place with food and great wine. Haul out my computer and build a crackling fire in the fireplace. If girlfriends showed up, all the better. We could brainstorm about stories, eat junk food, get drunk and TALK, TALK, TALK.

Alisha: I AM SO THERE!!! I know the perfect cabin in Turner Falls, Oklahoma..no mountains but plenty of water falls! Will that do? They DO have a crackling fire! We take the kids there every Easter...oh yeah, this interview is about you. If you could see anyone tomorrow (dead or alive), who would it be?

Regina: Easy. I’d want to see my dad again. He’s been gone almost twelve years and a day doesn’t pass that I don’t think of him.

Alisha: Ah, Reg. Wouldn't that be wonderful? If you could choose six people to spend one week on a desert island, who would it be and why?

Regina: You’re asking easy questions today, honey pie! I’d pick my closest friends and my daughter...who is ultra cool. Just like with the mountain cabin thing, I’d just like to hang out, laugh and have fun. Lounge in the sun and sip an alcoholic beverage or ten.

Alisha: No wonder we're best friends! I want the very same thing!!! What word or phrase tingles in all the right places for you?

Regina: I love the line from As Good as It Gets when Jack Nicholson’s character says…You make me want to be a better man. Sigh.

Alisha: Swoon! That is a SWEET line! If you had one day to spoil yourself, what would you do?

Regina: Spoiling myself??? Um. What’s that? LOL. Since I have to limit to one here, I’d have to say I’d spend a day watching Broadway shows in New York City. I’m a Texas girl and we don’t get much culture in my smallish town. I love this kind of thing and love NYC. Yep. That’s probably what I’d do.

Alisha: Oh Wow! I've been to NYC once and saw Les Mis and Phantom. I loved it! Loved the city, Broadway, the entire experience! Can I go with you there, too? Oh, yeah, this is your interview. Duh! If you could change one incident in your life, what would it be and how would you change it?

Regina: Many years ago, during my senior year in high school, I betrayed my best friend. I put my own selfishness ahead of her feelings and to this day, I regret what I did. I hurt not only her but myself, in the end, and though we are both grown, with families and lives, there are times I look back and shake my head. I haven’t spoken to her since that awful night but if I could, I’d tell her again how sorry I am. Maybe it’s because of this, I hold my friendships close to my heart. I’ll always go the extra mile for a friend.

Alisha: Oh, Reg! That breaks my heart. Maybe one day you can mend your old friendship. You're the best person in the world, one of those rare friends you only find once in a lifetime. I cherish our friendship. I'm so thankful we met. Sniff.

Blurb for Spanish Topaz
When rancher, Cash Carter gets sexy Latina, Graciela Fuentes back in his bed, he vows to keep her there. Whether it’s through the lure of hotter than hell sex or the intrigue to be found in an ancient topaz-studded dagger, he won’t let her go again. His body burns for hers but once she touches the handle of the dagger and Miguel de Castillo, a man from another time, manifests before them, Cash realizes Gracie’s soul may belong to another.

Miguel longs for a reunion with his long-dead bride and when he finds her soul residing in the body of the very modern Gracie, he’ll do anything to get her back. It becomes a race against time as Gracie gives her body to both men in order to reunite the lost lovers, hoping against hope she doesn’t lose her life or her love in the process.

Excerpt
Cash Carter leaned against the frame of the open barn door and watched Graciela Fuentes barrel down the dirt road leading to the Classic Cash Ranch. She had a new car. A sassy little roadster that reminded him of her, sleek but rounded in all the right places. A rooster tail of dust shot out from behind the vehicle as it rocketed down the road. On either side of the snappy little car, his land stretched out like a rugged Texas jewel in the waning autumn sunlight.
She was home.
Thank god. That was all that mattered.
The weeks since he’d last seen her fell away and his cock hardened behind the well-worn fly of his jeans. Her memory rose up, hot and fluid, in his mind and as his mouth went dry, he swore he could still feel the taste of her nipple on his tongue. It was a rich memory that he’d never been able to shake, even after she left for college and then landed a job as a museum curator in Houston. They’d been lovers for those years, but time and distance was his enemy. He was damn sick of only having scarce visits to her apartment in Houston and her trips to central Texas were so seldom, he was left aching.
When he’d found the dagger two days ago, she was the only person he’d called. It was a deal that worked for him. He’d have answers and her all at the same time. Have her he would, too. The connection between them had always been electrifying and the month that had passed since he’d last had her hadn’t changed a damn thing about that.
Cash shifted his stance and walked further into the yard to meet her. His heart thumped hard in his chest as he waited and remembered. Lust crawled through his belly and the urge to fuck her sweet pussy seeped through his mind like an oft remembered dream. If circumstances hadn’t intervened a couple of days ago, he’d pretty much decided to head down to Houston and haul her sexy, Latina ass back where she belonged. For good.
Maybe it was the time of year that made him hard for her. Made him ache for her. The leaves on the trees had turned a smoldering gold that exactly matched her eyes. The simmering reds mingled among the golden leaves reminded him of her lush lips and the way they’d always taken his with a hunger unequaled in his experience.
Bottom line was the woman was so fucking hot she burned him to ash with every touch. She was a craving in his system and he was a happy addict.
When the source of his raging addiction, stopped her car not twenty yards from where he stood, he stiffened, unsure of her greeting, as she stepped from the little car and gave him a look, cocked a winged black brow and sent him a sexy smile. Odd that he noticed that seductive smirk since he could barely drag his gaze from the long length of leg she bared beneath the miniscule black skirt. A strip of her belly flashed from below her shorter-than-hell red tee. The woman was sex on a stick and his cock pulsed in reaction, grew in dimension and he had the crazy desire to lick her from the tips of her cute little toes to her mouth, stopping to savor every point in between.
“Hey, sweet thing,” he drawled.
Her smile widened as she sent her gaze zipping down then up the length of his body. Impossibly his erection pulsed stronger as the need to fuck her silly grew by immense proportions.
“Hola, querido. Miss me?”
“Every damn day.” Cash held out his arms and watched her go still. A flicker of intensity made her golden eyes go dark. He smiled, knowing he had her right where he wanted her. She’d missed him, too. “Come ‘ere, darlin’. If I don’t touch you right now, I swear I’m gonna die.”
And just like that the darkness left her eyes and her smile widened as she laughed and raced headlong into his arms.

Hot Damn, Reg! That was smokin', sultry and just enough to leave me begging for more! Happy Release Day, honey! And thanks for visiting my blog today! Come back anytime!

Thanks for hosting me today, Sweetie! And yessss...I'm up for a trip to NYC. We could also hit CHINA TOWN and buy all kinds of cheap but expensive junk! One thing I didn't do there was go to some museums. I'd love that too.

Let's go! NYC is so WONDERFUL! Another thing I really love is all the quaint coffee shops and restaurants. They have AMAZING Italian food there. Oh and when I was there...get this...I was 18...man, that was like 100 years ago...I went to see a Fortune Teller. This sweet Italian lady who lived up this flight of stairs with her entire family, like brothers, sisters, one big extended family all living together in this giant flat! She read my tea leaves and most of what she said has come true. She told me I'd marry the man I was with and I did, my first husband..snort. That didn't last! Then she told me I'd have 3 children. That came true. Then she told me I'd be very successful one day but it'd take a very long time. Okay, how long is LONG? Snicker.

Congrats on your release, Reg! Let's hop a plane to NYC to celebrate...LIKE NOW!

Great interview Regina and Alisha. I'm not really into menage, I have to admit, but your story does sound so intriguing - and I just luurve Spanish Conquistadores.

I see the three of us have a love of waterfalls too! :)

Oh yes, I love waterfalls! Turner Falls in Oklahoma is glorious! That's our little get away every Easter and it's wonderful swimming in the summertime too!

Thanks for stopping by, Lyn! Hugs to you, sis!

Hi Hywela! Great to talk to you and yes, you're RIGHT not everyone is into the hot hot stuff but it's good there's so much out there. Writing a menage was kind of an experiment for me but I actually had FUN writing it.
