Ebook Santa Strikes Again!

Happy Saturday to all my readers and writer friends!
I had a blast playing Santa yesterday while I gifted over 1,000 copies of Deadly R&R to my loyal readers! So much fun in fact that I've decided to play the jolly old elf again and give away my newest release!

Fire up your Kindles, baby! Today I'm giving away my historical romance, The Wooden Nickel! This book is most dear to my heart, loosely based on my grandparents' experiences growing up during The Great Depression and living through WWII. Though the story is fiction, the undying message of hope and love comes from the love my grandparents shared. My beautiful, strong grandmother is still with us today but my beloved grandfather, Poppy left for heaven October 10, 2001. This book is dedicated to the memory of their love and in memorium of my grandfather. They had a love like no other that transcends beyond death. I hate that my grandfather never read The Wooden Nickel since the 1st Edition was published in 2008 but I feel sure he is watching from above.

The Free Link will go live Saturday, December 17th, at approximately 12:00 am PST through 11:59 pm and will be good at all Amazon stores in the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy.

AMAZON UK STORE ~ FREE COPY OF THE WOODEN NICKEL

I'll leave you with the blurb and the book trailer. Enjoy!

Blurb:

When Louise steps into a bread line in the middle of a dusty Texas town, the last thing she expects to find is a filthy hobo-boy taking pity on her. But when Cliff offers her his last piece of change, a worthless wooden nickel, her life changes forever. The Depression era coin proves to be worth far more than the five cents etched beside the wooden buffalo as it becomes a symbol of faith, hope and love, weaving in and out of their lives time and time again.

The Wooden Nickel is an emotional gripping tale about a bond between two young lovers trying to find their way in the world. An intense drama, unfolding amid the backdrop of war torn Europe and a naive America, desperately in need of new hope, The Wooden Nickel is an unforgettable romance full of mesmerizing characters, deep longing and eternal hope.

Contest in Honor of My Grandfather's Birthday!

July 19th is my grandfather's birthday. He passed away in 2001. I'd like to honor him by giving away an ebook of The Wooden Nickel. I wrote this book in honor of my grandparents and their love for one another.

Earl Clifford Pemberton was a hell of a man. He grew up during The Great Depression and was a paratrooper during WWII. I loved hearing stories of his childhood and of the war. And I loved his accent. He pronounced wash as wursh and bombs as bums. Creek was crick. He was the strongest man I knew and I miss him so much. Today I was straightening some things on my desk and I knocked his picture over by accident. It made me smile as I picked it up. I know he's watching out for me.

Leave me a comment about the memories you have with your grandparents and I'll enter you into a drawing for The Wooden Nickel.

Have a beautiful weekend!
