Thanks so much, Alisha, for hosting me at your blog today. I'm honored.
I'd like to tell you a little about my very first self-published novella, Second Chances. This is a holiday story that came to me in a dream one night and wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote it—so I did. The journey into self-publishing seemed like the right fit for this which is the first of a paranormal series.
The novella is set in Colorado and partially takes place at a special lodge in the Colorado Mountains called Destiny's Desire Lodge. People who come to Destiny's Desire discover things outside the ordinary, and if they follow their hearts will forever be changed.
Second Chances tells the story of two such people. It's a paranormal romance novella I hope you'll enjoy.
Here's a short blurb for Second Chances. A firefighter in Denver, Ryan Jackson still grieves the loss of his brother who died almost two years earlier on Christmas Eve. He thought he'd gotten past the loss until he began having dreams about his dead brother. In the dreams his brother asks him for something—impossible.
Ryan's wife, Rose, knows something's wrong. For the last several months Ryan's grown more withdrawn and distant. She loves him and knows he loves her, but doubts begin to creep in. She's determined to find out why her husband is withdrawing from her and win him back—no matter the cost.
An early Christmas gift, an unexpected trip and haunting dreams. Can the love shared between Ryan and Rose overcome grief and guilt and lend a little magic for a second chance at happiness?
I hope you'll want to find out about Ryan and Rose and Destiny's Desire Lodge and that you'll come to love them as much as I do.
